Funding of Three Water Wells for Schools in Dak Nong Province
Story: Dak Nong province is an arid area, with little water for agriculture, domestic use, or at schools.
Problem: Many children were not attending school because of the lack of drinking water and sanitation. Good water is an essential element in the eradication of bacterial disease within the school environment.
Solution: The Consular Club funded the boring of water wells at three schools in the province. This provided improved hygiene and reduced risk of illness from water born bacteria. It has also encouraged children to attend school, knowing that they can have access to good quality water for their personal hygiene.
