Water tanks and sawyer filters for Tam Hiep commune, Binh Dai district, Ben Tre province
Story: Socio-Medical Committee (SOMEDCO) from the Evangelical Church of Vietnam tries to improve the physical and social life quality of poor people in remote areas. The residents participate at project-based activities i.e. regarding medical care and water resource.
Problem: The biggest problem of Tam Hiep (30 km from the seashore) is clean water as locals are using polluted river water, which causes health problems.
Solution: The Consular Club bears the costs of six cement tanks for raining water and four sawyer filters, which will enable around 45 poor families to have access to clean water for their daily use.
