“Do not leave one behind” – education grants for disadvantaged children from rural areas
Story: “Dat Viet” supports children from Ben San Leprosy Center in Khanh Binh Village with school and university fees. “Gia Dinh Co Don”covers school and university fees for 45 poor children and students to continue their studies. These children come from the orphanage in Tan Phu district, or from Loc Ninh, Loc Dien and Loc Tan area.
Problem: Children from very poor backgrounds in rural areas have less chance in life without education. With the support of the two organizations some became nurses, an IT Engineer and one got even a Master degree, a PHD and lecture at the university and in 16 years 60 young people went through university.
Solution: By providing school and university fees for 248 students for the year 2015-2016 the Consular Club tries to give them a chance in life and a way to escape poverty.
