Beds for Obstetrics and Gynaecological Center

Story: Vi Thanh Obstetric and Gynaecological Center is located in Hau Giang, one of the poorest provinces in Vietnam, with over 18 per-cent of households living below the poverty line – with average household income below $US700 per annum
Problem: The Obstetrics and Gynaecological Center assists with the birth of between 25 and 40 births per day, and simply does not have enough beds. Currently, most beds are shared by two women with remaining women being left to lie on the floor.
Solution: The Consular Club has purchased three beds for the delivery room in the Center, and an additional 30 beds for the ward – providing mothers and mother-to-be, with a more comfortable, and hygenic experience.
