Water filtration process in Cai Tac Parish in Ben Tre

2018

Story: Waterborne illnesses are a large source of problems in the Ben Tre province.  The Cai Tac Parish and the Consular Club worked together to organize and fund the construction of pipes to connect deep well water to the water filtration process.

Problem: Water is not connected to the centralized water grid. The only available water in the area is from a contaminated and toxic Mekong river.

Solution: The Consular Club provided funding for a water filtration project in Cai Tac Parish in Ben Tre province where water is not connected to the centralized water grid. The Consular Club funded a pump, water filter, containers and pipes to connect the water from a deep well to the water filter process in Cai Tac Parish in Ben Tre. The water filtration project improves the lives of approximately 8,000 residents.
